ABOUT THE COLLEGE COMPANY

The NCC was established in the year 1948 by an act of parliament. It is intended to involve the student youth population of our country in military training. It is aimed at discipline the students. It gives practical as well as theoretical exposure.

Training
  • 15/18 parades of 4hrs duration each in an academic year is conducted. It is to conduct weekly parades as per the training programme.

 

AIM OF NCC

  • TO DEVELOP – Character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and ideals of selfless service among the youth to make then useful citizens.
  • TO CREATE – A human resources, organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the armed forces and always available for the services of the nation.
  • TO CREATE – A suitable environment to motivate the youth to make up as career in the armed forces.

NATIONAL CADET CORPS

  • VISION – Empower volunteer youth to become potential leaders and responsible citizens of country.
  • MISSION – To develop leadership and character qualities, mould discipline and nurture social integration and cohesion through multi faceted programs conducted in a military environment.

ORGANIZATION

ACTIVITIES

  • Institutional Training : Drill, Physical Fitness, Weapon Training, Map Reading, Shooting Practices.
  • Theoretical : Certificate Examination
  • Community Development : Tree plantation, Blood donation, Environmental awareness camp, Fire awareness programme, Visit to old age home, Slum clearance, Collection of relief fund etc.
  • Adventure Training : Rock-Climbing, Trucking, Mountaineering
  • Youth Exchange Programme : NCC has an understanding with youth organizations of several countries like Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Singapore, Srilanka and the Britain for exchange of youth programmes. This has created international awareness in the cadets.
