The college, established in 1983, is situated in Gundlupet, a border town in Chamarajanagar district. The college is located in a sprawling 05 acres 25 guntas of land surrounded by greenery and built at an estimated cost of rupees two crores in 1988. The College has good infrastructure facilities, such as, well equipped lecture halls, practical halls, library spacious sports grounds and experienced of teachers, which are adequate enough to meet the needs of higher education of the young aspirants of this rural and backward area.
Through the4 facility of higher education is being provided by our institution at affordable cost, it is still beyond the reach of girl students who are away in the remote villages of this border town. One of the main reasons for this is non-availability of hostel facility for them in our college premises. If hostel is provided to the girl students within the college campus, it opens up the opportunity for girls folk of this area to fulfill their needs of higher education. Also, it results in a substantial improvement in the overall students strength of the college.
In view of the above, we appeal to the commission to kindly consider our request for financial assistance for the construction of a women’s hostel building in our college premises.
